My Daughter an “EMT”

    

About three years ago my daughter, a mother of four came to me expressing that she wanted to go back to school to become a Nurse. She just felt a need to help people. After a year of schooling, she said, “I really don’t want to wait to start helping people, I need to start now.” While still attending school, she drove down to the local town Ambulance Dept. She spoke to a supervisor and she was immediately hired as a volunteer ambulance driver. She now has completed her schooling and has become an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter. Her dedication, perseverance, strength, encouragement, and obedience to herself, has made my daughter a believer in me; that what ever you go through in life and what you want in life, you can overcome your fears, by listening to your heart. By her doing so, she has accomplished an amazing gift, helping people. She wanted to fill her call and give the best of herself, and that she did and this is another reason why I appreciate her. We really never stop to think to thank our Emergency Professions, until we ourselves have a tragic incident. They all have a tough job saving and protecting lives.
